Pete O'Donovan started making Podsacs in Sheffield, UK back in the early '80s. Pete designed and manufactured the range himself and built a strong reputation amongst climbers for producing the most durable kit available.

As a Sheffield based climber Pete was immersed in one of the most intense and hard core climbing communities on the planet and strove to build the finest packs for his demanding peer group. They quickly became the first choice for those 'in the know' and their reputation has endured within the climbing community to this day.

Building on this experience our pack designers have combined cutting edge design and technology with bespoke fabric engineering to create the latest range of packs, meeting the needs of today's Alpinists and climbers.
